October mid-term break saw a gathering of leaders involved in Edmund Rice education from across the world who met to strengthen the future of Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders.

With a remit to expand and diversify the leadership structure of the organisation which encompasses all of our 250 + Edmund Rice schools in 5 continents, great work was done in the wonderful school of Iona Prep in New Rochelle, New York where the group was hosted by the Christian Brothers North America Office for Educational Services team.

Whilst in the United States, we had the opportunity to understand better the history of Christian Brothers education in North America and meet some amazing young people from Iona Prep, Iona University and All Hallows College.

As ever, it was the witness of the young people in our schools who are the true testament to the living, breathing charism of Blessed Edmund which is alive and thriving in the USA. New structures will be implemented from March 2025.
